Background
IFCHIC is a multi-brand online retail store based in California that sells curated high-fashion designer clothing across the US and worldwide. We have been working with IFCHIC for many years across various growth initiatives. When they approached us to help with their organic search presence, their editorial section had been publishing fashion-related content — but without a focused strategy to make that content discoverable on Google.
The Challenge
The biggest challenge was high competition. Keywords relevant to their products — jeans, sunglasses, skirts, bodysuits — are dominated by major fashion publications and retailers. Writing about the same trending topics as everyone else would have little impact. We needed a smarter approach to find topics that people were actively searching for, but that few others were writing about.
The Key Insight
Through deep keyword research, we discovered that the real opportunity wasn’t in broad, competitive terms — it was in specific, trending, long-tail topics. For example, while “jeans” has millions of competing results on Google, a topic like “Taylor Swift’s jeans” had high search volume but far fewer articles targeting it. By identifying this gap between search demand and editorial supply, we found a path to visibility that didn’t require competing with established fashion media.
Our Strategy
We rebuilt IFCHIC’s entire content strategy around three principles:
- Low-Competition Keyword Targeting — We identified hundreds of high-search, low-competition topics — trending celebrity styles, seasonal fashion moments, and niche product searches — where IFCHIC could realistically rank on page one.
- High-Volume Content Production — We produced hundreds of SEO-optimised articles targeting these topics. Each piece was written to rank on Google while also serving as genuine fashion inspiration for IFCHIC’s customers.
- Product Embedding for Conversion — Every article featured curated product recommendations pulled directly from IFCHIC’s inventory. Readers could discover a trend, read about it, and shop it in the same session — turning editorial content into a direct sales channel.
The Results
Within 4 months, IFCHIC’s organic traffic from Google grew 4x. The content engine we built continues to compound over time — each article adds to the site’s authority, and the library of hundreds of pieces drives consistent, growing traffic month after month.
